Cab Seat Upgrade SSL

During an upgrade to the SSL rolling stock cab seats, Grinsty Rail worked closely with the OEM of the seats. This work involved a complete re-design of the seat vertical and horizontal sliding and locking mechanisms, along with work on the comfort of the seat squabs and cushions. These seats were transported to our site in Nottingham, stripped down, all relevant parts replaced with new, tested, and returned to the end user. Due to our success with the upgrades, the end user gained confidence with us. They now send any faulty seats to us, on receipt they are subject to a full assessment to determine the level of work required, which is carried out in a timely manner to allow the end user’s units to remain operational.
